Originally known as the private Ming Zhang Middle School, Xindu No. 1 Middle School was founded in 1941. In 1981, it was classed as one of the first key provincial schools. In 2001, it was awarded the status of a National Model High School. In 2013, it was awarded the status of The First Level Model High School of Sichuan Province.
The beautifully designed campus covers an area of 100,000 square metres. The facilities hold 4,000 students in 66 classrooms, each fully equipped with modern teaching technology. The campus hosts an outdoor stadium with an eight-lane 400-metre athletic track. These facilities help create a supportive administrative and teaching environment.

Thus far, more than 300 of our students have gone abroad for further study.
