Xindu No.l Middle School Renewed Friendship Agreement with Rockway Mennonite Collegiate of Canada |
From Mar. 29 to Apr. 2, 2015, Xindu No.1 Middle School welcomed their old friends from Rockway Mennonite Collegiate of Canada again. Principal Ann Schults and Director of International Department, Tom Bileski came to Xindu No.1 Middle School to renew the partnership agreement of the two schools.
Xindu No.1 Middle School and Rockway Mennonite Collegiate have been partner schools for 22 years. During the last 20 years, the two schools often visited each other and exchanged their deep friendships. In 2005, 2006 and 2010, we received the three principals, Mr. Lobe, Mr. Schellenberg, and Ms Parter. We also received 21 summer camps or spring camps from their school. More than 300 students from Xindu No.1 Middle School have been to the school to study. The deep and wide exchange between the two schools can be a model of schools exchange in the education history of Chengdu, even Sichuan. The two honored guests’ visit is the best inheritance and certification of friendship of the two schools.
Ms Schults and Mr. Bileski also visited Chengbei campus and experimental school of Xindu No.1 Middle School. They felt amazed at the school which is made up of the old campus, Chengbei campus and experimental school and which has nearly 10,000 students. They also admired the extraordinary high level plan of our new campus and hoped that they could visit the new campus in two years.
