The Education Delegation from Eton College Visited Xindu No.1 Middle School |
Xindu No.1 Middle School is one of the first 40 middle and primary schools which were awarded “The Construction Unit of the Internationalization of Education School” in Chengdu City. On April 20th, our school also honoured and welcomed Mr. Philip Highy from Eton College which are known as the “"Cradle of Elites" and the “Gentleman Culture” of the world.,Mr. Philip Highy, mayor of Eton, foreign affairs executive and executive director of the summer class program , joined Eton college 25 years ago. He has been in charge of the Eton college summer class program for 20 years .While working at Eton College, Mr. Philip Highy acts as a local councillor for 10 years. This visit adds a beautiful thing with no doubt for our school’s education internationalization construction work
During the welcoming ceremony, Zeng Shimei, vice principal,on behalf of the school had expressed a warm welcome to Mr. Philip Highy’s visit and she believed that our school will benefit greatly from Eton college culture , philosophy of education and communication projects, and hoped Philip Highy could become acquainted with Xindu No.1 Middle School , which is located in the west of China and opens a door of friendship between the two schools.
Mr. Philip Highy visited our campus, he had an informal discussion with our school leaders and interacted with the students. He had a great impression on the scholar culture, the patriotic spirit, the teachers and students’ broad international field of vision, acute international awareness and stronger international competitiveness.
He also hoped that Eton College and Xindu No.1Middle School will communicate in the teachers and students exchange, arts and sports . |
